Pax Autocratica Steam Deck
Pax Autocratica Steam Deck status after Build 24928845: the virtual keyboard bug was fixed, but full controller support is not a Deck Verified rating.
Last checked · Verified through State Maintenance Directive · August 28, 2026 · Steam public Build 24995054

Pax Autocratica's Steam Deck virtual keyboard bug was fixed in AG-25 on August 25, 2026. The old version of this page still described that issue as merely under investigation; that is now outdated.
The distinction that still matters is certification: Steam lists a Windows build with full controller support, but the public store page did not show a Steam Deck Verified badge when this page was checked on August 31. Full controller support and Deck Verified are not the same status.
Current Steam Deck status
- Virtual keyboard: AG-25 says it fixed the issue that prevented the virtual keyboard from opening for text input.
- Controller input: the Steam store lists full controller support for the Windows release.
- Deck rating: no Verified badge was visible on the public store page in our August 31 check.
- Official performance preset: none published.
- Official frame-rate target: none published.
- Native Linux build: not listed on Steam; the store currently lists Windows.
AG-25 also split Controls and Game Settings into separate tabs, improved UI behavior, reduced shadow cost on Medium and Low, optimized animation memory, and improved base performance. The August 28 maintenance build fixed cases where graphics-quality settings were not applied correctly and made further Low-setting improvements. Those are useful handheld changes, but they are not a formal Deck performance guarantee.
If the keyboard still does not open
First confirm that Steam has installed at least Build 24928845. Restart the game after updating, then retry a text field. If the problem remains on the current build, report it through the developer's official Steam or Discord channels with the game build, SteamOS version, and the exact text field that failed.
Avoid treating an old forum report as proof that the current build still has the same bug. Also avoid “locked 60 FPS” presets that do not show the game build and test conditions; the developer has not published such a target.
What this page can and cannot confirm
The official notes confirm the keyboard fix and several performance changes. They do not confirm every text field, every Proton version, a stable frame rate, battery life, or complete Deck certification. This wiki does not have an in-house Deck test, so those claims stay deliberately narrow.
For the unchanged PC hardware floor, see system requirements. Console availability is tracked separately on the console page.
