Unofficial colony + FPS guide

Pax Autocratica

Pax Autocratica puts a ruined colony and a first-person shuttle on the same save. Anyone you take into space stops working at home. This page covers what the game is, the first-hour loop, and which systems keep the base alive while you are gone.

The game

What Pax Autocratica is

Pax Autocratica is Multiverse’s Steam hybrid, shipped on 10 August 2026. You repair a frontier base in first person, research buildings, then board a shuttle into the Tyris sectors. Combat is a shooter with roguelite cores that reset when you return. The settlement is not a menu you finish before the gunplay starts. Labor, hunger, fear, and who you leave behind decide whether the next expedition still has a colony to come home to.

The store pitch mixes colony management with FPS expeditions on one save. That loop is the product. Anyone assigned to the shuttle stops producing at home. Extra map nodes raise Enemy Strength. Capture Rounds are how you grow population, not leftover ammo you dump into random enemies.

How the Pax Autocratica first hour works

The Pax Autocratica first hour is short. Land at Aurorian Frontier Base, collect four Titanite, repair the Command Center, research and build the Barracks, equip the gun that appears in your inventory, then leave for Elysia. Rebuilding every ruin first wastes the opening. You do not yet have the workforce for a pretty logistics chain, and the timer that matters is how fast you can board.

The first trip is not a clear-the-map mission. Bring back a little salvage, a feel for how hard normal enemies hit, and captives only if you already have Capture Rounds and the fight is still under control. Core Fragments power the current run and reset on return. After that, build the gap the trip proved: a Prison if you have captives, transport if you are tired of hauling, Victory Square if people are Overworked.

What you actually manage

Three expedition counters fight each other. Expedition Progress fills the sector toward a Decisive Battle. Enemy Strength climbs as you take optional nodes. Return to Base banks people and resources, then wipes the current cores and sector progress. Elysia is not secure until the sector overlord falls. A Decisive Battle is a checkpoint, not the ending.

At home, Unified Labor in Victory Square sets the workday for the whole colony. Paid Time Off is a patch for one exhausted soldier, not a default schedule. Prison cells and indoctrination turn captives into population. Your best fighters are often the wrong people to put on the shuttle, because production dies when they leave.

Pax Autocratica opening loop

Follow this before you rebuild the ruins. It is the same first-hour route the Pax Autocratica beginner guide expands, written here so the landing page answers the search.

  1. 1

Get 4 Titanite at Aurorian Frontier Base. Mine them or pick them up yourself. Skip a logistics chain for those four rocks.

  2. 2

Repair the Command Center. Building research stays locked until it is up.

  3. 3

Research Barracks as the first blueprint, then build it. That building puts a weapon in your inventory and opens the shuttle.

  4. 4

Open the bag and equip the gun. The shuttle sits near the Command Center.

  5. 5

Take a companion only if combat is scary and the base can spare the labor. Named starters differ across player videos; skip stalling the launch for a perfect roster.

  6. 6

Make a short Elysia trip, then come home and build what that trip proved you lacked.

Run logic

Win by keeping colony and expedition from sabotaging each other

This hybrid is not a base-builder you finish, then a shooter you play. Anyone you take into space stops working at home. Extra map stops raise Enemy Strength. Capture Rounds are population, not leftover ammo. Numbers here are source-checked because the live build still moves.

Opening systems

Build only what the last expedition made necessary

Command Center

Repair it with 4 Titanite so building research unlocks. It is the gate, not a decoration.

Barracks

First blueprint. It puts a weapon in your inventory and opens the shuttle.

Prison

Captives do not join until they have a cell and their will is broken down.

Victory Square

Colony-wide hours live here, not on the normal assignment screen.

Core Fragments

They power the current expedition and reset when you return. Core Seeds unlock future options.

Core counters

Three habits that stop early-game collapse

Leave before the base looks finished

The first expedition teaches you what to build next. Repairing every ruin first wastes the opening.

Treat capture as an economy

Save Capture Rounds for targets that fill a real gap. Elites keep type and affixes after conversion.

Fix the schedule before you recruit

Staffed but Overworked is a Victory Square problem. Empty essential jobs is a population problem.

Roadmap watch

Planned, not promised with dates

Online co-op

Steam hopes to develop co-op during EA. A discussion post said after EA. No player count or date.

About two years of EA

The studio says the timeframe can change. Price is planned to rise at 1.0.

Expedition

Choose the next stop by what the colony actually lacks

Expedition Progress

Fills the sector cycle toward Decisive Battles. It is not an order to never go home.

Enemy Strength

Climbs as you explore. Optional nodes are a tax on the final fight.

Return to Base

Banks captives and resources. Current Core Fragments and sector progress reset.

Sector overlord

Elysia is not secured until MEC-KONG 7X falls. A Decisive Battle is a checkpoint, not the ending.

FAQ

FAQ before you buy or boot

What is Pax Autocratica?

A Windows Steam game from Multiverse, currently in paid EA. You run a first-person colony and launch shooter expeditions from the same save. Cores found in space reset when you return; people you take with you stop working at home.

Is it out, and on which platforms?

Pax Autocratica launched 10 August 2026 on Steam for Windows. No Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch version has been announced.

Is there multiplayer or co-op?

The live build is single-player. Squadmates are AI. The studio hopes to add co-op during EA; one older discussion said after EA. No date or player count is published.

Is there a free demo?

The free Prologue store page is delisted. The paid EA build is the live game.

How much does it cost?

US list price is $29.99. A launch discount was still showing in mid-August 2026. The studio says the price will rise at 1.0. Trust the Steam checkout for your region.

Does the game use AI?

Soldier behavior is ordinary game AI and still a work in progress. A 2025 report said some portraits and icons were generative and slated for replacement. Do not treat “made by AI” as a fact.

What should I do in the first hour?

Four Titanite, Command Center, Barracks, equip the gun, then a short Elysia trip. Skip finishing the ruined base first. The checklist on this page is that loop.

Steam first, no APK or cheat bait

The live build is a Windows Steam release in paid EA. This site links the official store, Discord, and YouTube. It does not host trainers, Nexus mirrors, or fake mobile downloads. The free Prologue store page is no longer available.
